Natalia Lawrence is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology, University of Exeter. Her research combines brain imaging and experimental psychology methods to study reward processing in a range of disorders including overeating and obesity. She translates basic research into developing novel psychological/behavioural interventions. For example she is currently examining whether food response inhibition training, delivered via an app, can reduce overeating. She also sits on the Sugar Smart Exeter working group, which focuses on changing the food environment.
